Catherine Roy - @catroy

Catherine Roy has been active in the field of disability issues for the last 20 years. She has worked with various organizations on a variety of key issues for persons with disabilities, such as barrier-free design, health and social services, education and job integration as well as institutional and governmental policies and programs. Based in Montreal, her main responsibilities have involved project co-ordination, research and issues analysis, production and decimation of various content, media relations, event management, and other related activities.

Since 1999, Catherine's work has focused primarily on the issue of access to new information technologies for persons with disabilities. She has coordinated and collaborated on research projects, presented at various conferences and has produced several papers on the digital divide associated with disability. Catherine has also served on various committees and boards of organizations concerned about this issue. She currently holds the position of general director at a research center on digital inclusion in Montreal, the CREIN (French).
